The 3-day Institute of Brunei Technical Education IBTE's Open Day which was open to the public, ended yesterday. Various activities were lined-up for visitors including consultation sessions and activities involving the study modules of each institution.

Like other IBTEs, the IBTE Mechanical Campus in Kampung Tungku also offered opportunities to students who are interested in enrolling in the institute. Aside from demonstrations, the consultation session with the teaching staff also attracted interest and gave some insight into the modules offered. According to Awang Mohamad Syukri Bin Haji Mohammad Rashid, IBTE Tutor, the open day provided consultations to prospective students as well as their parents and guardians in regards to the courses offered namely HNTEC in automobile technology, NTEC apprenticeship in automotive technician and NTEC in light vehicle mechanics.

Meanwhile for the students of the institute, almost 2 years of studies have provided them with new knowledge of automotive skills and boost their enthusiasm to start up their own vehicle workshop in the future.

The IBTE Sultan Bolkiah Campus, Seria also held an Open Day. It aimed to give students or applicants the opportunity to interact with the teaching staff, the IBTE students, and make a campus visit. 7 National Certificate in Technical Education, NTec and Higher National Certificate in Technical Education, HNTec courses are offered for this year's August intake.
