Media Conference on COVID-19

The number of reported cases of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam continues to show a decrease where the average daily rate of cases last week was 227 cases per day, compared to 255 cases per day in the previous week. The matter was stated by the Minister of Health during the COVID-19 Media Conference yesterday afternoon. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar also shared the rate of vaccination coverage of COVID-19 in the country remains high with 79 percent of all citizens and residents of the country having received the third dose of the vaccine and 11.6 percent also having received the fourth dose.

 

There is no case in Category 5 which requires treatment in the Intensive Care Unit and one case is in Category 4 requiring oxygen assistance and close monitoring. 389 new cases have been reported of which 388 cases are the result of ART and one case is the result of 62 RT-PCR.
