There were several processes and procedures that former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyuddin Yassib did not follow, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Prime Minister said this includes the involvement of companies linked to his family members.
"I would like to remind Muhyiddin not to challenge me because it is clear that several processes and procedures were not followed," he told the media after clocking-in at the Finance Ministry on Monday (Dec 6).
Anwar, however, did not elaborate on the companies and the nature of business it involves in.
He said while his intention was to focus on economic growth and the people's welfare, the matter needed to be addressed since he was being challenged.
He said that certain parties had claimed that they were clean.
"However, they are not, as it was found that there were approvals done without following the regulations.
"This includes approvals made during the movement control order," he said.
There have been calls for an RCI into government spending during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Muhyiddin, who is also Perikatan Nasional chairman, had said that he never embezzled or misused funds meant to help the people and that if he did, investigations would have started a long time ago.
