​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received in audience His Excellency Dato Paduka Lim Jock Hoi, the outgoing Secretary-General of ASEAN. The Audience ceremony took place on 29th November afternoon, at Istana Nurul Iman. Also present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The appointment of His Excellency as Secretary-General of ASEAN was officiated on the 5th of January 2018, in which His Excellency served from 2018 to 2022. His Excellency was recently honoured by His Excellency the Prime Minister of Cambodia during the Closing Ceremony of the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits for his contributions throughout his tenure.
