His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah stresses that the proof of Brunei Darussalam is always guided by Al-Quran and religion is that internalising Al-Quran and Islamic teachings have become the life blood of the Bruneian people. His Majesty emphasises that this is because Al-Quran and Islam are the lights that can illuminate all. In the titah at the final of the National Musabaqah Al-Quran Reading for Adults 1443 Hijrah/2022, His Majesty underscores that it is not sufficient for efforts as among the reasons that lead to achieving intentions or aspirations, being just worldly in nature. For people with strong faith, we are also demanded to balance it with efforts that are spiritual or hereafter in nature.
