Final Of National Musabaqah Al-Quran Reading For Adults, 1st Night

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office in a sabda stresses on the utmost importance of Al-Quranic values assimilation to be interpreted through life's routines in which the home is the earliest education institution in shaping individuality and educating Al-Qur'an generation. His Royal Highness made the sabda at the Opening of the final of the National Musabaqah Al-Quran Reading for Adults 1443 Hijrah / 2022. The ceremony took place at the International Convention Centre in Berakas, 30th August night.

 

 Upon arrival, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs as well as the Musabaqah Executive Committee members.

 

Also in attendance was His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's brother, His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Malik.

 

The ceremony began with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.

 

In his welcoming address, the Minister of Religious Affairs among other matters shared that this year's musabaqah has shown a higher participation in comparison to the previous year. It has also shown a higher quality of reading according to the competition's standards aside from seeing the emergence of qari and qariah among youths.

 

His Royal Highness in his sabda emphasises that aside from the government's continuous efforts in empowering Taranum Al-Quran skills, young qari and qariah should also strive to improve skills by diligently learning from masters.

 

His Royal Highness in the sabda added that students and youths are the successors who will take over a bigger role as assets and leaders of development as well as beneficiaries who will continue to uphold the eminence of Islam in Brunei Darussalam.

 

Six participants presented their readings on the 1st night. They were Awang Mohammad bin Ali, Dayang Hajah Nurfaezah binti Haji Emran, Awang Haji Nasrul Fakhri bin Haji Yahya, Dayangku Fauziah Nadhirah binti Pengiran Haji Jofri, Awang Ahmad Syuja'iee bin Begawan Mudim Haji Metassim and Dayang Hajah Nurul Akmalina binti Haji Yahya.
