DST Brunei FA Cup 2016 Draw Announced

The DST Brunei FA Cup 2016 Managers' Meeting and Draw was held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the NFABD House yesterday evening.

 


The meeting was chaired by the League Chairman, Awang Metusin bin Sumpong and hosted by Awang Dayem bin Haji Ali, Director of Competitions.

 


The FA Cup is contested by 10 DST Super League teams, 10 Premier League teams and eight non-league teams.

 


The format for this cup tournament is knock-out format, with four preliminary rounds, quarter final, semi final and a final. Altogether, 27 matches will be played until December 23.

 


The eight non-league teams are FC Phosphor, Pandan FA, Dagang FT, Bentara United, DSP United, Telbru FT, Pandan XIV and Hawa FT.

 


The 10 Super League teams are IKLS FC, Setia Perdana, Tabuan U-17, BSRC FT, Rimba Star FC, Mengait FC, Al-Idrus Junior FT, Panchor Murai, Kilanas FC and Besa FC.

 


While the 10 Premier League teams are Lun Bawang, Najip I-Team, Jerudong FC, MS PDB, MS ABDB, Kota Ranger FC, Wijaya FC, Indera SC, Tabuan U-21 and Kasuka FC.

 


The non-league teams are drawn together in the first preliminary round and eventually join the League teams in the third round.

 


The first two matches of the cup will be tentatively held on October 7 featuring FC Phosphor going against Pandan FA at the Berakas sports Complex and Dagang FT will meet Bentara United at Track & Field Complex.

 


All matches will be played at Berakas Sports Complex, Track & Field Complex and Tutong Sports Complex. Entrance is free and supporters are welcomed to watch.
