Earthquake Hits Rhodes Island, No Injuries Reported

ATHENS
An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit Rhodes island on early Wednesday, according to the EuroMediterranean Seismic Center.
No injuries or major damages have been reported so far by local authorities, according to Greek national news agency AMNA and local newspaper Rodiaki.
The tremor's epicenter was located at about 27 km off Embonas village in the sea area off the island's northwestern coasts, according to EMSC and seismologists of the Athens Geodynamic Institute.
The depth was estimated at 56 km, according to the Greek scientists. Enditem
