Imams in yesterday's Friday sermon called on Muslims to perform honourable acts for the benefit of both self and others.

Among the honourable deeds cited in the sermon were responsibilities to parents, family and society; promoting good and forbidding evil; living by honest means; learning and practising useful knowledge; and the spending of one's wealth on charitable causes.

The sermon concluded by commending those who spend their lives in worship and performing charitable acts.
