Seoul Garden Restaurant, a Singapore-based Korean restaurant franchise, officially opened its doors to customers in Brunei recently" with its first branch located at Parkview Hotel, offering an "All You Can Eat" buffet that's available at affordable prices.

Members of the media and local bloggers were invited to the opening ceremony and were introduced to the Korean-oriented franchise by Andrew Lee, Seoul Garden Group CEO.

The event saw a press conference as an introduction to the restaurant, where the CEO remarked that the branch serves Halal certified food and provides good food to their Muslim customers as one of their goals.

"Seoul Garden. is already Halal certified in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia," said Lee who also stated that one of the reasons he wanted to bring the franchise to Brunei was the already established familiarity with the franchise amongst Bruneians.

Muniswaran Nyahaisperian, Head of Food and Beverage of Freshco and Parkview Hotel, explained the choice of opening their first branch at the hotel, stating that other areas were packed and the Jerudong area has not been fully utilised for business despite having high potential for new and growing businesses.

Seoul Garden offers an extensive range of signature dishes ranging from Fried Korean Chicken Wings to Kimchi Fried Rice to their Seafood Pancake.

The restaurant offers two concepts of cooking styles to customers - Barbeque and steamboat in buffet display, which would appeal to young adults, families and teenage student, boasting 140 types of food.

Established in 1983 in Singapore, Lee explained that the Seoul Garden has continuously expanded ever since, with constant change and improvements, the simple Korean restaurant has now flourished into a buffet restaurant that has grown, to serve Halal certified food to the Muslims who dine there.

Seoul Garden Restaurant currently plans to build and increase brand awareness in Brunei first and will eventually move to opening more branches in the future.
