Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam Secondary School (SM SMJA) students from the class of 1985 to 1990 recently celebrated their former teachers at an event held at Soto Rindu Restaurant in Sengkurong.

The Teachers Day celebration started with mass recitation of Surah AI-Fatihah and followed afterwards with a speech by Azian bin Haji Adam, a representative for the former students.

Another speech was then delivered by former teacher, Haji Kula bin Md Noor.

The highlight of the event was the Doa Kesyukuran and Doa Khas Hari Guru which was recited by a former student.

The Teachers Day celebration was held as a show of gratitude to the teachers and at the same time to strengthen relations amongst the former students and teachers.
