The Adult Musabaqah Al-Quran for Mosques 1437H/2016M was held at the Multipurpose Hall of Jame' `Asr Hassanil Bolkiah yesterday.

Present as the guest of honour to present the prizes to the judges and participants was Major (Rtd) Haji Abu Bakar bin Haji Sapar, the Penghulu of Mukim Gadong In first place was Haji Asmat bin Haji Tuah, in second place was Muhammad Ariif bin Haji Johari, and in third place was Muhammad Hazwan bin Haji Abdul Latif. Three out of the eight participants will move on to the Adult Zone Level Musabaqah Al-Quran competition.

The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by welcoming remarks by Ustaz Haris bin Haji. Suboh, the Chairman of the Adult Musabaqah Al-Quran for Mosques 1437H/2016M.

This event then continued with the announcement of the results by the chairman of judges and the presentation of token of appreciation to the judges and prizes to the male and female participants.

The event was then concluded with a presentation of a token of appreciation to the guest of honour and the recitation of a Doa Selamat.
