(KPL) Phan Viet Cuong, Party Secretary of Quang Nam Province and President of the Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee of Vietnam and his delegation recently paid a courtesy call to Party Secretary and Governor of Xekong Province Leklai Sivilay on the occasion of Pi Mai Lao (Lao New Year B.E. 2565).

Quang noted that his courtesy visit was paid amid the celebration by two countries Laos and Vietnam of their two significant milestones including the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 45th anniversary of the signing of Laos-Vietnam Treaty for Amity and Cooperation.

He wished that the solidarity of the two Parties, governments and peoples of the two countries, and Quang Nam Province of Vietnam and Xekong of Laos, in particular, will become a priceless asset of the two countries.

In reply, Governor Lek Lai expressed thanks to the Vietnamese official for his visit to extend New Year wishes to leaders and people of Xekong and asked him to convey greetings to other Party and government leaders and people of Quang Na, Vietnam.
