Several matters of importance to the citizens and residents were raised in adjournment speeches by Ex-Officio Members. Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs explained on the improvements in cultivating communication and technological innovation from the aspects of education, management, security and entrepreneurship.

Yang Berhormat said this is inline with the Digital Economy Masterplan 2025 in which its main policy of making Brunei Darussalam as a Smart Nation and encourage as well as enhance the country's socio-economic growth through digital transformation. To date, the country has seen positive growth of sectors such as agriculture, business, transportation, finance, communication and health services. These sectors have diversified its service provision in a more innovative and creative way, turning the challenges of COVID-19 into opportunities.
