Covid-19 Watch: 27,808 New Cases Brings Total To 3,145,174

GEORGE TOWN

 

The country recorded 27,808 new Covid-19 cases on Friday (Feb 18) bringing the total accumulated cases to-date to 3,145,174.

 

According to data released on the Health Ministry's CovidNow portal, this brings the number of active cases to 233,065, of which 219,696 (94.3%) are under home quarantine, 5,476 (2.3%) are at quarantine centres and 7,893 (3.39%) are currently hospitalised.

 

Of those hospitalised, 235 are in the intensive care unit with 132 needing ventilator support.

 

A total of 36 deaths were recorded on Friday with 11 classified as being brought in dead, bringing the total to 32,276.
