18 new COVID-19 cases were recorded, taking the country's total COVID-19 cases to 15,550.
The Ministry of Health in its press release stated that out of the new cases, 8 are local while the 10 others are imported cases. Meanwhile, 3,014 lab tests were carried out in the past 24 hours, with the rate of positive cases at 0.6 per cent.
1 case passed away, while there are 111 active cases after 6 cases recovered, bringing the total recovered cases to 15,337. The bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 2.6 per cent.
As of the 5th of January 2022, 94.6 per cent of the total population have received at least one dose, 93.5 per cent have received 2 doses, and 25 per cent have received 3 doses of the vaccine.
