TUTONG

The 'Tamu Mingguan Kompleks Pasarneka' and Tamu Tutong, held every Thursday and Sunday resumed operations after being closed since the 12th of August 2021 due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Both of the markets are operating at a 100 per cent capacity.

Sales activities resumed following review on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy by the COVID-19 Steering Committee in upholding the National COVID-19 Recovery Framework. The re-opening was implemented according to the stipulated guideline and Standard Operating Procedure, SOP. The Ministry of Home Affairs through the Tutong Municipal Department advised vendors and visitors to cooperate and adhere to the guidelines currently in force.
