BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

The 6th Exposure Programme for Youth with the Potential to enter the field of high-tech agriculture ended yesterday afternoon with a certificate presentation ceremony to the participants. The programme was part of the initiative in upholding the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood's Strategic Plan 2016-2022 to increase agriculture sector output. Among the programme's objective was to attract the youth's interest to be involved in agriculture, and exposing that farming is a lucrative business.

The certificates were presented by Dayang Hajah Masliana Yuliah binti Abdullah, Acting Director of Agriculture and Agrifood. With such a programme, the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood hoped it can increase the participant's knowledge and achieve the objective of producing youth farmers who are committed, progressive and productive.

The participants were pleased with the programme and will strive to be more involved in agriculture as they were exposed to various methods of farming.
