Malaysia Provides 283,400 Doses Of Astrazeneca Covid-19 Vaccine To Laos

VIENTIANE

 

(KPL) The Government of Malaysia has provided 283,400 doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine to the Lao PDR’s Ministry of Health in order to support anti-Covid-19 efforts in the country.

 

The handover took place on Wednesday at the Wattay International Airport in Vientiane between Minister of Health Bounfeng Phoummalaysith and Charge d'Affaires a.i. of Malaysia to the Lao PDR Rafiqa Hazura Md Rizuan in the presence of relevant officials of both sides.

 

“This assistance will contribute to the vaccination efforts of the Lao Government to raise the vaccination coverage to 70% of population in the country by the end of this year,” said Minister Bounfeng Phoummalaysith.
