921 New Covid-19 Cases, Six More Fatalities Recorded

VIENTIANE

 

(KPL) Laos has confirmed 921 new Covid-19 cases including 921 domestic infections over the past 24 hours, according to the National Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

 

Most of the domestic transmissions were reported in Vientiane 359, Luang Prabang 123, Phongsaly 86, Champassak 81  and Xayaboury 49.

 

The newly reported infections, detected among 5,259 people tested for Covid-19 yesterday, have brought the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the country to 62,160 including 132 deaths and 10,964 active cases.

 

Some 683 patients were discharged from hospital yesterday, Deputy Director General of the Department of Communicable Diseases Control, Ministry of Health, Dr Phonepaseuth Sayamoungkhoun told a press conference today.
