Rumours that spread on social media since Tuesday that counterfeit BND$100 polymer Brunei currency notes are being circulated among the public due to misprint were quashed yesterday by the country's central bank, the Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD).

AMBD in a statement said it has not received any formal complaints regarding the said currency and advised the public to avoid disseminating unverified information that will confuse members of the public.
