Strong, relentless winds uprooted trees in the Batu Bersurat area yesterday, resulting in two vehicles sustaining damage at 4pm. No injuries were reported in the incident.

While one car was left heavily damaged, another that was parked nearby was subjected to minor damages.

Witnessing the incident as she was leaving the area, a female motorist said, "Strong winds and heavy rain suddenly enveloped the area. I watched in horror as the trees got uprooted.

"I was also able to capture photos of the incident.

"Fortunately when the incident occurred, the car owner was not inside the car," she added.

Personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department soon arrived at the scene to remove the trees.
