DAMASCUS , SYRIA
DAMASCUS -- A Kurdish-led rebel group said it had reached a ceasefire agreement with Turkish military forces on Tuesday, in a bid to bring a temporary truce to a contested area in northern Syria.
In a statement, the Jarablus Military Council (JMC), which is backed by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said the ceasefire agreement was reached with the Turkish army under the mediation of the U.S.-led anti-terror coalition. (Syria-Rebels-Truce)
DAMASCUS -- The spokesman of the Islamic State (IS) group, Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, was killed Tuesday during battles in the country's northern province of Aleppo.
The IS' Amaq Agency said al-Adnani was killed "while surveying the operations to repel the military campaigns against Aleppo." (Syria-IS-Spokesman)
BEIRUT -- The United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Sigrid Kaag said on Tuesday that the living condition of the Palestinian refugees in the camps needs to be improved, the National News Agency (NNA) reported. (Lebanon-UN-Refugees)
KHARTOUM -- The Sudanese authorities announced on Tuesday that they had arrested 190 illegal immigrants in the border region with Libya, including children and women of different nationalities. (Sudan-Illegal-Immigrants)
