Local Companies Fined After Being Found Guilty of Tax Payment Failure

Two local companies were ordered to settle fines by the Magistrate's Court after guilty pleas from company representatives to charges of failing to pay income tax were heard.

 

KPF Comserve Sdn Bhd was handed a fine of B$5,000 with two months' grace period for failing to pay income tax for the years ended December 31, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

 

Uniquest Sdn Bhd was handed a fine of B$4,000 with one month's grace period for failing to pay income tax for the years ended December 31, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

 

Senior Magistrate Haji Nabil Daraina bin Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Badaruddin presided in the case. DPP Amiriah Haji Ali represented the Public Prosecutor.
