Filipinos are invited for a gathering with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte who is coming for a state visit to Brunei Darussalam September 4-5, Ambassador of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam, Meynardo Lb Montealegre said.
The gathering with the president will be held from 5.30- 6.30pm on Sunday, September 4, at a venue to be announced later, along with other details, the ambassador said in a letter.
Filipinos attending the gathering are advised to inform the Philippine Overseas Labour Office (POLO) at the Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam on or before September 1.
They are requested to contact Welfare Officer Ma Luisa Reyes at POLO by calling 2241465 and 2241466, extension 119 or the Overseas Workers Welfare Office hotline 7291315.
"For security reasons, they are likewise requested to fill out a General Information Sheet with a recent photo," Ambassador Montealegre's letter said.
The 2x2 picture should have a white background and no headgear and eyeglasses.
The attendee is made to "understand that incomplete information is a ground for non-inclusion in the forum with the president and the Filipino community," the general information sheet said. - Tony Alabastro
