UNISSA Held Thanksgiving Prayer for SAP Student

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through its Division of Student Affairs recently held a thanksgiving prayer for students pursuing UNISSA's Study Abroad Programme (SAP).
The ceremony is a show of appreciation and support for the students of the programme for the 2016/2017 academic session.
The 12 students will follow the Study Abroad Programme at the University of Jordan; International Islamic University in Malaysia, University of Durham in the United Kingdom, and for the first time, at the University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates and University of Sultan Qaboos in Oman.
The programme falls under the student academic development programme which is for students who excelled academically and are active in extracurricular activities.
Rector of UNISSA cum guest of honour Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal offered words of encouragement to the students.
Noting that perseverance is a powerful tool to help students, he said, "This is because there are no shortcuts to success. All the hardship and trials are required to achieve real excellence."
Reminding students to be aware of the country's expectations of 'them, he pointed out that such development programmes looks to produce students that are dynamic and of high quality, and who will eventually lead the country in the future.
Ustaz Supri bin Haji Sudin, the Dean of Students and chairman of the ceremony, and other senior officers were also present at the cermeony.
Awang Mohammad Adika Yusra bin Mohammad Yusof, selected to pursue his studies at the University of Sharjah, expressed gratitude for being selected for this SAP in the field of Islamic banking.
"I will use this opportunity to gain more knowledge and experience and will apply all the knowledge for the advancement of religion, race and nation," he said.
