Brunei U21 Outclass Japan, Korea in Netball Meet

JEONJU CITY, KOREA
Brunei Darussalam under-21 (U21) netball team got off to a perfect start in the Korea Invitational Netball Tournament after racking successive wins against Japan and hosts Korea in Jeonju City yesterday.
The under-21 side defeated Japan 57-8 in the morning match before beating Korea 62-5 to stay in contention of lifting a foreign title.
The national youth team will face off against Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong today in which their prospects of securing a title will be clearer.
Brunei Darussalam national netball coach Thilaka Jinadasa has targeted a top two finish in the tournament.
The Korean meet has been viewed as early preparations of the host country's capabilities of entertaining the best of Asian youths in the upcoming Asia Youth Netball Championships in 2017.
