BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Students of Jigsaw Primary School on Thursday morning learnt more about the rich culture of Cambodia after witnessing a performance by Cambodian dancers who were in the country for the Asean Ministers Responsible for Culture and Arts (AMCA) Meeting.

Similar events also took place at other private and government schools, where performers from Asean+3 countries showcased their respective arts and culture in the form of music and dance.

The Cambodian showcase which ran for about half an hour was performed by Chanlyka Leav, Sitha Vanna and Run Vannyz.

Run Vannyz played tunes on Cambodian flutes as well as one that was made from a bull's horn. Chanlyka Leav and Sitha Vanna, meanwhile performed two dances that are commonly performed for kings and queens during royal ceremonies in Cambodia.

Also present to witness the performance was Helen Chin, the Principal of Jigsaw Primary School.
