Farm produce prices in China stayed flat last week, according to data from the Ministry of Commerce.
From Nov. 16 to 22, the wholesale price of pork edged down 0.1 percent week on week to 39.25 yuan (about 5.97 U.S. dollars) per kg. The wholesale price of mutton went up 0.3 percent, while that of beef remained flat.
Poultry-related products saw price drops. The price of eggs declined 1.1 percent on a weekly basis.
The average wholesale prices of 30 types of vegetables went down 0.4 percent from a week earlier.
Food accounts for about one third of China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation.
China's CPI rose 0.5 percent year on year in October, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The growth eased from the 1.7-percent rise registered in September.
