A beautiful display of fireworks attracted a large crowd of spectators at the Jerudong Park Garden last night.

The fireworks show, which was held in conjunction with the 70th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, was organised by the Brunei-Muara District Executive Committee for His Majesty's 70th birthday celebrations.

The fireworks were set off by the guest of honour, the Minister of Home Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Satia Dr. Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong.

There was also a mesmerising musical fountain show. Personnel from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Traffic Control and Investigation Department (JSKLL), as well as the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) were on standby on the ground to respond to any emergency.
