With the experience of former national basketball players of Yap Chun Ping and Kevin Tay, Standard Chartered Bank on Thursday overpowered the media 68-60 in a friendly at the BBA basketball court at Batu Bersurat.

According to Coach Mike Wong of the media team, "The team paid a hefty price for a sluggish fourth quarter game while Standard Chartered Bank were consistent in their offence, especially Kevin Tay's sharp shooting three pointers that enabled his team to pull away for the win."

The match served as training forthe SCB basketball team who will be taking part in the Trig Nation Cup which is expected to take place this October.

Last year, the SCB Brunei team were champions of the Tri Nation Cup.
