The DARe (Darussalam Enterprise) held the latest in its series of dialogues yesterday, in a session conducted with Ministry of Development (MoD).

Held at the Design and Technology Building in Anggerek Desa event is the 8th DARe dialogue to have been held, and saw the involvement of around 70 attendees consisting of government agencies, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and interested individuals.

The proceedings began with a presentation centered on the dialogue's topic, "Ease of Doing Business - Dealing with Construction Permits", which was delivered by Awangku Mohd Fakhruddin bin Pengiran Haji Ismail, Architect at the Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi), Ministry of Development.

A question and answer session then followed, featuringa panel comprised of the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development, Dato Paduka Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny; DARe's CEO, SoonLoo; Secretariat, Ease of Doing Business, Energy and Industry Department, Prime Minister'sOffice (EIDPMO), Awangku Mohd 'Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Ali Hassan; and ABCi Architect, Awangku Mohd Fakhruddin.

The session allowed the attendees to put forward and share their experience, issues and concerns with the panel, which was on hand to respond to the queries.

As DARe explained yesterday, "The dialogue sessions are one of the ways DARe is able to find out what issues businesses have and experience from starting, to running or expanding a business." Businesses can share issues they have to DARe's Business Helpdesk at www.business.gov.bn
