Delighted to be in the Sultanate, Maya Kosaka, one of the seven Japanese exchange students of the International Summer Medical School programme, is eager to learn more about the customs and traditional way of life of the people of Brunei, a place where she hopes to make some new friends.
With regard to the programme, she explained that her educational stint at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) could potentially offer more in terms of practical medicine, than what she could obtain back home.
The programme will be an invaluable learning and educational experience as she goes through her medical studies.
The knowledge acquired in Brunei will serve as an asset to her and her colleagues as they continue their medical career in the future, she said.
Maya Kosaka and her Japanese colleagues are studying medicine at the Kagawa University's Faculty of Medicine in Japan.
