Winners Of Brunei Open Track And Field Meet

Bandar Seri Begawan: The 3rd Brunei Darussalam Open Track and Field Championship 2013 concluded at the Track & Field Centre of the National Stadium Complex in Berakas yesterday.

Jonathan Larus of Sabah won the gold medal of the Male Open Long Jump event. Sharmin bin Nain of Belait District took the silver and the bronze medal went to Pg Amir bin Pg Sabtu joining as an individual athlete.

The 1,500m Female Junior & Open gold medal was won by Nur Naqibah bte Sufri of Tutong District, silver went to Leong Sheo Yee (Open) of Belait District and Helen Anak Graman of Belait District took the bronze medal.

Abu Hurairah bin Hj Amin won the gold medal in the 400m Male Open, silver to Md Nadzri bin Hj Mutalib and Ahmad Yazid bin Awg Hidup won the bronze medal. All three were from Brunei Muara District.

Nurul Faizah Asma Mazlan of Malaysia won the 400m Female Open while Maziah Mahusin of Brunei Muara District took the silver and Hannah May Jamal Hashim of Brunei Mara District won the bronze medal.

The gold medal for the 400m Female Junior went to Christine Wong of Brunei Muara District, Jewel Shim Huei Zi of Belait District (silver) and Nur Farah Hana Md Abidin of Sports School (bronze).

Belait District won the gold medal of the 4x100m Relay Male Junior followed by Sports School (silver) and SOAS College (bronze).

In the 4x100m Male Open, Malaysia won the gold medal followed by Brunei Muara District (silver) and Belait District (bronze).

Mohd Jironi bin Riduan of Malaysia won the 1,500m Male Open, Mohd Khairul Anuar bin Ramli of Belait District (silver) and Lim Wei Kuang of Belait (bronze).

Md Ammar Safwan Md Zaidin of Sports School won the 400m Male Junior gold medal, Abd Haziq Zakry Abd Rahim of Sports School (silver) and Ak Mohd Noh Pg Rositi of Brunei Muara District (bronze). Malaysians swept the 400m Male Open category with the gold going to Schuan Ahmad Rosely, silver to Yuvaraaj Panerselvam and Kanathasan Subraniam (bronze).

Mohd Irfan bin Shamsuddin of Malaysia won the gold medal in the Male Open Discus event, Yazid Yatimi bin Yusof of Brunei Muara (silver) and the bronze medal went to Mohd Adenin bin Bolhan of Belait.

Leong Sheo Yee (Open) of Belait District won the 800m Female Open & Junior, Maizurah bte Abd Rahim (Junior) of Belait District took the silver medal and Nur Izzati FarahAini Hj Hashim ( Junior) of Sports School won the bronze medal.

Md Ammar Safwan Md Zaidin of Sports School won the 800m Male Junior event gold medal, Md Shariff Pudin Md Salleh of Sports School (silver) and Abu Hurairah (bronze).

Mohd Jironi bin Riduan of Malaysia won the 800m Male Open gold medal, silver went to Mohd Khairul Anuar bin Ramli and Jang Elroy Anal< Ramantan of Belait District took the bronze.

Norhidayatullah bte Johari of Tutong District won the 200m Female Open gold medal, Hannah May Jamal Hashim of Brunei Muara (silver) and Dk Ummi Ramizah Pg Jeluddin of Brunei Muara (bronze).

Fatin Farah Nabila Ismail of Brunei Muara won the 200m Female Junior gold medal, Christine Wong of Brunei Muara (silver) and Ledia Anak Bala of Belait District (bronze).

Mohd Noor Ferdaus Ar-Rasyid of Brunei Muara won the 200m Male Junior gold medal, Mohd Rachmat bin Safar of Belait (silver) and Muhd Faaizul bin Abdullah of Belait (bronze).

The 200m Male Open was won by all Brunei Muara athletes with gold going to Fakhri bin Ismail, Abd Rahim bin Abdullah (silver) and Nordi bin Sukardi (bronze).

The Male Open Javelin gold medal was won by Liaw Choon Fatt of Brunei Muara, Turner John of Brunei Muara (silver) and Brunei Muara's Azmi bin Kamaluddin (bronze).

Malaysia's Rayzam Shah Wan Sofian won the Male Open 110m Hurdle event gold medal, Barry Freddie Anak Stephen Hyuak (silver) and Lee Chua (bronze).

Tutong District's Shahminan bin Hj Md Salleh won the 5,000m Male Open gold medal followed by Lim Wei Kuang of Belait District (silver) and Ali Akbar bin Ali Hashim of SM (bronze).

Brunei Muara's Fatin Farah Nabila Ismail won the 100m Female Junior gold medal, Tutong's Ani Afifah binti Musa (silver) and Ledia Anak Bala of Belait (bronze).

Mohd Noor Ferdaus Ar-Rasyid of Brunei Muara won the 100m Male Junior gold medal, Mohd Rachmat bin Safar of Belait District (silver) and Muhd Faaizul bin Abdullah of Belait District (bronze).

Tutong's Norhidayatullah bte Johari won the 100m Female Open gold medal, Dk Ummi Ramzah Pg Jeluddin of Brunei Muara (silver) and Belait's Corina Anak Graman (bronze).

Malaysian athletes grabbed the medals of the 100m Male Open event with the gold going to Harith Ammar bin Mohd Sobri, Eddie Edward Jr (silver) and Mohd Shahmimi Azmi (bronze).

Sports School won the 4x400m Male Junior event gold medal, Belait District took the silver and the bronze went to Brunei Muara District.

Malaysia B won the 4x400m Male Open gold medal, Malaysia A (silver) and Belait District (bronze).

Present at the prize presentation were Mariam Ulat, Head of Sports Unit, Youth and Sports Department, Dato Paduka Hj Abd Rahman Hj Mohiddin, President of Brunei Darussalam Athletics Association, Ali Aman, Manager of Malaysia B, Dato Hj Paiman bin Abd Karim, Vice President of Malaysian Athletics Union, Jefri Dato Hj Ismail, President of Sabah Amateur Athletics Association, Mazni Dato Sharif Menjaji, Vice President of Sabah Amateur Athletics Association, and Surahmat Sunarno, Treasurer of Sabah Amateur Athletics Association.
