Kuala Belait: Penghulus and village heads in the Belait District recently attended a talk conducted by the Local Employment and Workforce Development Agency (APTK) to highlight issues of unemployment in the country.
The talk was held at the Belait District Office for penghulus and village heads who act as representatives of their mukims and villages to disseminate information on securing employment through the agency.
Giving the talk was Head of Local Employment and Workforce Development Agency, Hj Afero Eswandy Hj Mohammad.
He disclosed that in the Belait District, there are currently 1,169 job seekers registered under the agency since June this year. Out of the total, 785 job seekers are women.
He further added that the agency plays a role to help with the registration of local job seekers in finding employment in the private sector and at the same time provide training and workshops for local job seekers.
