Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The five-day working visit of the Brunei delegation to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was started yesterday headed by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad bin Pg Hj Abdul Rahman.
The first day of the visit saw a bilateral meeting with the Chairman of Ash-Shoura Council (Consultative Assembly), Dr Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Sheikh and the Justice Minister, Sheikh Dr Muhammad bin Kareem Al-Sheikh which aimed to strengthen the bilateral relation between Brunei Darussalam and Saudi Arabia, especially regarding the implementation of Syriah Criminal Law in Brunei.
During the meeting with the Ash-Shoura Council, the minister presented ideas and exchanged views relating to the Syriah Law that will be implemented in the Sultanate.
