60 years of age

It is good to hear that now it is mandatory to retire at that age. Lady controllers and male controllers on TAP can feel fairly secured with the new regulation. However this act can now further delay the training of young air traffic controllers and assistants... It is not a matter of whether the current aging controllers can do it. It is now to see how efficient they are at in doing their job where quick and instant decisions are necessary in controlling the aircraft. Controllers don't have days to think. For pilorts they have only the plane and people on board to think about whereas controllers have many planes to handle.Delaying in decision making can lead to disastrous situation. Thinking and action must be fast.Aerodrome controllers must have good eyes' bowling. It is very lucky radar controllers still have the system to play with. What if it goes down.Don't say it will never happen, we are not GOD to say so. With the aging controllers no doubt they still can do without radar but how fast the actions taken have yet to be seen. How many are left rated to do controlling without radar license?I just hope with the amendment of the age limit, the head will not delay the training of the young young air traffic personals. Hope he or she will not take his sweet time to promote assistants to controllers and junior controllers to senior controllers.Lately,it has been very very hard for everyone working and sacrifising time in training the juniors with age limitions ability and capabilities. No one can understand the situations unless they sit down and listen...Has anyone? No one does.:( - kacangpanjang

I am very impressed with HM's Titah yesterday who put up the welfare of the people and development of the country on top of the priority list. I am really to have a King who really DO take care of his own people. Daulat Kebawah Duli Tuan Patik. - Impressed Civil Servant
