Suspect Held After Fiery Assault Outside Restaurant

Klang - Police arrested a man over the murder of a 28-year-old who was beaten to death and burnt outside a restaurant in Lorong Kopi Pandamaran early Monday morning.
The victim, S. Dorai Raj, was drinking at the restaurant when a heated argument with two other men erupted just after midnight on Sunday.
The fight continued on the road after the restaurant owner told them to leave.
OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Mat Yusop said one of the suspects was believed to have grabbed a vase and attacked the victim.
He said the victim was hit in the face, and the suspects then poured kerosene on him and lit him up after he collapsed.
ACP Mohamad said the victim was found lying motionless on the road about 10m from the restaurant when a police patrol car arrived.
Police, who found kerosene at the scene arrested one of the suspects and have launched a hunt for another suspect.
ACP Mohamad said Dorai Raj's body was taken to the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah for a post-mortem.-- Courtesy of The Star Online
