Kuching: More than 30 coats and suits were reported stolen in a break-in at a bridal shop at Ellis Road here on Wednesday.
The incident was discovered around 10.15pm when workers arrived at the premises to discover the lock and security grille at the rear of the shop had been cut open.
A check inside revealed the missing coats and suits, along with the theft of a computer, an iPad, a laptop and camera set.
Losses were estimated at over RM40,000. A police report of the incident has been lodged and the case is being investigated.
In a separate incident, a father and his young son were left with scrapes on their faces and limbs after the motorcycle they were travelling on crashed at a roundabout in Petra Jaya here yesterday.
The 31-year-old said he was taking his five-year-old son out for lunch in Semariang when they crashed after their machine was clipped by a Perodua Kelisa around 1.30pm.
A passing motorist later helped to send the injured pair to the Sarawak General Hospital where they received outpatient treatment.
