As I made my way into the arrival hall of Cape Town International Airport in South Africa, I was greeted with stunning panoramic pictures of amazing wildlife, sandy beaches and majestic mountains emblazoned across the walls.

With the aim of raising awareness for endangered animal species whose populations are on the decline, the management of Rimbun Dahan hosted a last-minute charity art sale event on behalf of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Malaysia, which despite not being as successful as previous years, still saw a fairly big turnout where guests comprising ambassadors and foreign dignitaries as well as art enthusiasts such as agents and collectors attended.
Also seen in attendance were rising artists and their more prominent and established counterparts who gathered together to enjoy an evening of culture in the name of a good cause.
The theme of the charity event, which was held for the 14th consecutive year was 'Art For Nature: Snapshots', which Mrs Angela Hijjas went on to describe was inspired by a snapshot of two tigers in the wild. She added that the photograph, which clearly indicates the suprise on these majestic animals faces was taken via an automated sensor camera that was strapped onto a tree trunk and not by an actual photographer.

"In every fiesta, there is of course an abundance of rice and seafood, which we will also serve tonight with the help of Cebu Pacific, which has air flown special rice from Negros Occidental in Central Philippines and fresh seafood from Mindanao, the Philippines's food basket.
