The Empire Hotel and Country Club was placed as runners up for 'Best Golf Resort in Asia-Pacific' Award for 2012 by Asian Golf Monthly Magazine recently. The hotel's 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course has been ranked in the top three spots in the last three years.

22nd December 2012 - The Oil and Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC) in Seria recently opened its Traffic Games Park to the public. The park has been used annually for the National Traffic Games Competition participated by government and private schools. OGDC yesterday conducted its second annual OGDC Traffic Games Competition for the members of the public to participate and compete amongst teams.
