Bandar Seri Begawan - Around 35 proponents of taekwondo received their Level 3 Taekwondo Coaching Course certificates on Sunday.

Dyg Mariam bte Ulat, Head of Sports at the Department of Youth and Sports as the guest of honour presented the certificates to the successful new taekwondo coaches, marking the conclusion of the three-day course. The event was held at the Commonwealth Centre at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

Designated for coaches under the banner of the Taekwondo Association of Brunei Darussalam, the sessions were facilitated by two taekwondo experts led by Mohd Tajuddin Abdullah, President of the Taekwondo Association of Sabah.

The inaugural course was organised by the Coaching and Sports Development Unit in cooperation with the Taekwondo Association of Brunei Darussalam. The event was attended by senior personnel from the Department of Youth and Sports.

The course incorporated coaching skills and the relevant applications pertaining to the Korean martial arts, with sections such as coaching management and leadership.
