Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei Polytechnic 'A' and UBD 'B' played out a 2-2 draw at the Berakas Track and Field Complex last night in Group B of the Uni Cup.

Ak Muhammad Khairul Azim bin Pg Haji Mohammad opened his account to give Polytechnic 'A the lead in the 17th minute, and his side looked to be cruising to a straightforward win when he doubled his tally just moments later.

However, UBD 'B' would not be so easily outdone, and Mohd Syamim bin Mohd Mahmud offered UBD 'B' a way back into the game with his goal in the 36th minute.

Akmal Ridhwan bin Omar All of Poltechnic 'A. received his marching orders five minutes from time, leaving his team one man short, and it would prove costly come the final whistle.

Ak Mohd Wazien bin Pg Ya'akub would prove to be the knight in shining armor when he popped up with an 88th minute equalizer for UBD 'B' to ensure it was not a losing start to the Uni Cup for he and his comrades.

ITB 'B' still stand strong at the top of Group B, but that could all change before their next game against UNISSA 'B' on Jan 13.

Uni Cup action resumes tonight, when KUPUSB 'B' will be looking to forget their 4-1 thumping at the hands of UBD 'A' when they come up against Brunei Polytechnic 'B'. Kick-off is at 8pm at the Berakas Track and Field Complex.
