Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Education through the Administration and Services Department and the Curriculum Department organised the 19th Inter-Ministry Futsal Tournament from Nov 10-19. The futsal tournament will be played at three venues - Multi-Purpose Hall of the National Stadium Complex, Indoor Stadium of the National Stadium Complex in Berakas and the Sports Hall of University Brunei Darussalam in Jerudong.

Twelve teams from various ministries and departments will be taking part in three categories - Special Category, Veteran Category and Open Category. The opening ceremony was officiated by Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yussof bin Haji Ismail, Deputy Minister of Education at the Indoor Stadium of the National Sports Complex in Berakas yesterday.

After the opening ceremony, the opening matches in the Special Category were between Ministry of Finance against Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports against Ministry of Communication. In the Veteran Category, Ministry of Defence will play Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Ministry of Finance versus Ministry of Education.

In the Open Category, Prime Minister's Office will meet Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources while the Ministry of Religious Affairs will play against Ministry of Health.
