Bandar Seri Begawan - Col (B) Hj Rashid Asut was the overall nett winner of the Birdie Sporting House Golf Tournament after completing the 18-hole RBA Golf Club course with a score of 66.
In the Overall Gross Category, Chris Tay claimed top honours with a gross score of 75, whilst Pg Hj Ibrahim Hj Damit finished closely in second with 77.
Phua Ah Hua emerged as the Division A Nett (50- 69 years) winner after recording a score of 69, with Hj Patera Madil and Pg Hj Yaakub Pg Md Salleh joint on 71, but the former edging into second as a result of his On Count Back (OCB) score of 1.9.
It was a similar scenario in the Division B Nett (60-67 years) category as Hj Latif Hj Gharif and Hj Zawawi Hj Ahmad both ended the day on 69, but Hj Latif's 1.6 OCB meant he secured the runners-up spot, behind the winner, Hj Ahmad Rani.
Dato Hj Suni Idris was the final winner of the tournament after securing top spot in the Division C Nett (68 years and above) category with a score of 68. Dominic Chong finished in second (69), whilst Jimmy Voon completed the podium (71 Nett OCB 1.3).
A record number of 89 golfers took part in the Birdie Sporting House Golf Tournament, which was hosted by the Brunei Darussalam Association of Senior Golfers.
Present on behalf of Birdie Sporting House was Awang Mohd Dennis Leong, who gave away the prizes.
