Bandar Seri Begawan - Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) held a tahlil for late parents of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, yesterday, at the Royal Mausoleum at Jalan Kubah Makam Diraja.

The event was one of many activities lined up by the foundation to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of YSHHB.

Present at the event were YAM Pengiran Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Rahim bin Pengiran Indera Mahkota Pengiran Anak (Dr) Kemaludin Al-Haj, Deputy Chairman II of the Executive Committee of YSHHB; YSHHB Executive Committee member Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Hj Awg Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti; Chairman of the Board of Directors, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr.) Hj Awg Abu Bakar bin Hj Apong; members of the board of directors; YSHHB officers, staff and teachers; as well as residents of the Kg Bolkiah 'A' and 'B' National Housing Plan.

The function included the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil, as well as a reading of "Doa Tahlil", led by a Mosque Affairs officer.

YSHHB was set up with the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on October 5, 1992, in conjunction with the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty's Ascension to the Throne.
