Bandar Seri Begawan - A second building for the Youth Development Centre (YDC) is currently in the pipeline and is expected to be constructed in Tutong, said the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Hazair during .a dialogue session with the media yesterday.

The second building is being built in order to cater to more residents n the surrounding vicinity and will facilitate skill development programmes in collaboration with the Brunei Economic Development Board and Alcoa.

It is hoped that the programmes will help local youth succeed in either starting up their own businesses or by becoming a skilled member of the national workforce. The number of participants has been growing steadily, with youths from Al-Islah expressing their desire to enroll in the programmes.

The minister praised YDC's continuous efforts in assisting the youth of the country.
