Bandar Seri Begawan - To enliven the Maulidur Rasul celebrations for the year I434H on January 24, the Youth and Sports Department under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports last night organised a special Dikir recitation at the BSB Youth Centre in the capital.

Among those who participated were youth clubs members as well as undergraduates from Seri Begawan Religious Teachers' University College (KUPUSB) and Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif All (UNISSA).

The event was aimed to develop youths to acquire both qualities and attributes as role-models in the form of upholding good Islamic principles.

Present as the guest of honour during the opening Dikir event was Awang Haji Abdul Malik bin Haji Mohammad, Acting Director of Youth and Sports Department.

Meanwhile, Dayang Hajah Norlah binti Haji Yaakub, Director of Youth and Sports Development under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports is expected to be the guest of honour for the closing ceremony of the Dikir event.
