Bandar Seri Begawan - In conjunction with World Post Day, a ceremony was yesterday held to hand over stamps to primary school principals at the Training Room of the Mail Processing Centre in Berakas.

Acting Postmaster General cum guest of honour Hj Awg Bujang bin Hj Tinkong presented stamps and posters to the principals of respective schools in Brunei, both from the public and private sector.

In her welcoming remarks; Committee Chairperson Mauludnah binti Hj Muhamad Nudin said, "The handing over of stamps to schools is one of the Postal Services Department's efforts to create awareness as well as interest in stamp collecting among primary school students. It is also to encourage schools to establish a stamp clubs."

The ceremony concluded with a visit to the Mail Processing Centre.
