Bandar Seri Begawan - An Indonesian woman was sentenced to four months in jail by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court yesterday after she pleaded guilty to overstaying in the country.

Anis Samsiani, 30, reported her loss of passport to the Immigration Enforcement Section on Oct 9, 2012. Immigration investigations showed that the defendant was once under employment as a housemaid even though her employment pass was cancelled on November 21, 2011.

She was ordered to leave the country no later than December 4, 2011.
